Blue coua is tree-dwelling long tailed bird. It is inquisitive and restless traits bird. Like other coua they have feet with a reversible third toe. Cuckoo generally jumps or flops through the tree. From times to times makes long glissade flight with eruptive wingbeats. From 48 to 50 cm in length, and to 30 until 60 grams in weigh, bird females’s are slightly larger. Calls are short and vehement « kwa » notes.  

The blue coua is found in eastern and northern forest. It is an omnivore; eating insects fruits and small reptiles rainforest. Blue coua has a small beak piece support him quest with his blue coat. The bird is shaped as an animal of prey.

Feather vary from blue to indigo. Top body is blue colored, wings turn between blue and blue gray. Blue coua have a patch of bare oval blue-colored skin around each eye and black bill. Wings regimes and feathers tails transit color. The bird spawn one egg. 

Blue coua structures platform nest on tree branch. Nests are usually well hidden in bushes or tree. The species is found in the forest of northwestern and eastern areas of Madagascar and is considered to be common. The bird uses its environment to live in and is dependent on it to progenerate.
